Cherry poppin' benefit

As of this past Saturday we, Mercy Flirts, have officially played our first show! Though there wasn't as large of a turnout as expected we still had a great time playing and helping to raise money for a good cause. Thanks again to our good friend Yesenia for planning the event and all of you who came out to give your support! Lotsa shows and announcements on the horizon so stay tuned...

Spring ahead!

The Mercy Flirts train is gearin' up to pull outta the station and tear up the music scene! Several shows are lined up as well as a possible radio appearance. We're very excited and are hard at work on making sure we bring y'all the best show possible. Most pressing is our first show this Saturday April 10th. We are honored to play this benefit and help our friend raise money for a very worthwhile cause.

Happy hump day y'all!!

So as of last night our first official show has been confirmed for April 10th! It's a private benefit function by invite only so I apologize if some of y'all won't be in attendance but believe me when I tell you this is merely the first of many, many, MANY more shows lined up in our very immediate future. Stay tuned 'cause Mercy Flirts are comin' soon...

How do you get to Ryman Auditorium?

Practice of course...and having music for people to listen to. In that vein, over the past couple months we Mercy Flirts have been chuggin' along slowly (and methodically) but surely and have even managed to find ourselves an amazing new lead guitar player in the very talented Richard Storbeck. I can't say exactly when, but this week we will be logging a LOT of studio time to hopefully have some tunes posted for your listening pleasure in the next week or two. We are also working diligently with Richard to expand our repertoire so we can bring a killer live show to y'all very soon...

We have been very busy writing new songs, perfecting arrangements, adjusting rhythms, etc. and as of the last month or so have been committing these tunes to disc...digitally of course, but still. We're very excited and pleased with how they are turning out and hope to have something listenable for y'all early next month.

For now y'all will just have to use your imagination...

What started as a recording project in the summer of 2009 has blossomed into a new Country band poised to take the Monterey Bay (and beyond) by storm in 2010!

Comprised of vocalist Nancy Mora, vocalist/songwriter Alex Schumacher, bassist/songwriter Jaime Mora, guitarist Carlos Arellano and drummer Marco Lopez, Mercy Flirts combines their love for traditional and contemporary Country with all of the sounds they grew up on including Rock, Soul and old school R & B. With blistering up tempo numbers as well as ballads alike, Mercy Flirts have created an energetic and raw live show which they hope to bring to live venue near you very soon!
